Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) is one of the leading private universities in Indonesia. Inspired by the spirit of nationalism and guided by perennial values, UII was established one month before the proclamation of Indonesian independence in 1945. As a result, in 2013, UII obtained A accreditation for Higher Education Institution Accreditation by National Accreditation Board of Higher Education Indonesia, with the highest accreditation scores among other private universities in Indonesia. In addition, in 2012 and 2014 UII awarded Indonesia Green Awards in the category of Green Campus. In 2015, the Government of Indonesia placed UII on the top 10 best universities in Indonesia for higher education management and organizational quality. 

In 2016, UII is a private university that ranks highest in terms of research performance of Kemenristekdikti version. In the same year, UII also reinforced gait at international level. One of them is proved by the achievement of international accreditation from Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (JABEE) given to Civil Engineering Study Program. International recognition is also obtained by UII through three QS Stars world stars with the highest score among universities in Indonesia. 

Along with the ideals of becoming a world-class university, UII builds a vast network of well-known universities, among others Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia; Hokkaido University, Japan; Solbridge International Business School, Korea; The University of Hawaii at Manoa, United States; And Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, among many other university partners.
